How sad, I am so sorry for his family too. Heartbreaking when someone passes away

I'm so sorry to hear about your student. It is always so difficult when someone so young is lost.

Oh God. I know how I'd feel about some of my students. If you need to talk, you know where I am. It's tough - especially when they're young like that. I can only imagine how you're feeling at the moment.

Oh gosh B. I'm so sorry. :(

I'm sending a hug your way. When a parent has to bury their child (or a teacher outlives her student), it just disturbs the natural order of things...

Oh Beverly, I am so sorry to hear about this young man's passing. I'm sure that your note to his family meant the world to them. Not only will they know what he felt for them, but they now know that he touched your life as well.

That's an incredible poem.

You were so kind a caring and right to contact G.'s family. Blessings on you, and them. It's a deep, deep kind of hurt.

Oh how sad. I think this is the hardest part about working in education (and specifically higher education) -- when young people die. So very touching and sad.

So sorry to read this. As a retired cops daughter, I really feel for these people.
