I blame myself for not being more on top of leading the Organized Elves, but this project, while useful to me, didn't seem to get a lot of participation.
It was important to me when I hatched the idea that participants be able to contribute posts, and I thank everyone who did. In the interest of saving money, though, I'm going to down-grade my Typepad membership to a level that doesn't allow additional contributers.
I'm not shutting down this blog entirely, just yet, though. I will keep it up as I decide if there is another, perhaps more useful way I can use it. I will remove the additional contributers, though.
Thanks so much for your participation, and I hope you check back here to see what's doing!
Happy New Year to you all!!

Oh yes, it did help! Most of my handmade things were done early. I finished a purse and a scarf but then found out I was one chenille washcloth short. So that got made two days before Christmas, leaving me Christmas Eve to cook.
In the past I have been madly sewing right up the time we had to leave for dinner and have had to give out IOU's for unfinished gifts. Not this time!
I was without a camera during Nov and Dec so that's why there are no pics.

I think it helped me think about gifts throughout the year. I usually plan my gifts in September, but this year I picked up little things throughout the year. I also got ideas that I kept tucked away. It pretty much worked other than I was ahead of schedule so I added some additional gifts to my list. Still I got everything done on time!
